Sarah McBee acts as the Executive Assistant to Jenelle Isaacson, Owner of Living Room Realty. Originally from Southwest Georgia, she studied photography at Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Canada where she lived for three years. Sarah loved the city and her passion for improving communities led her to obtain her Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon. Throughout her career, she has worked in office administration supporting a variety of mission-driven organizations ranging from a membership-based wood and metal shop to a Montessori school. Sarah has led a house remodel as Co-Director for the Center for the Advancement of Sustainable Living, helped develop an incubator food kitchen and year-round farmer’s market, and planned a music festival that featured 24 artists over three stages.

After relocating to Portland in 2012, Sarah joined the Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls Board of Directors where she worked along side Jenelle as co-chair to build girls’ self-esteem through music creation and performance. One day Jenelle made Sarah an offer she couldn’t refuse and Sarah joined the Living Room staff in August 2013. She loves what Living Room stands for and that the company is a certified B Corp. Sarah loves using her skills to implement Jenelle’s creative visions that create a company where agents and staff love where they work and helps clients love where they live. In her free time, Sarah enjoys live music, local food, and adding to her record collection.

What Living Room agents have to say about Sarah:

“In 2009, I was one of the first Realtors at a new startup company called Living Room Realty, and our first Managing Principal Broker. Those exciting early years were filled with incredible growth & adrenaline. The hard work of growing our company required an all hands on deck mentality, but we needed a first mate. The answer was Sarah McBee and what a stroke of good luck for us! When Sarah joined us, the load became immensely more manageable. Her calm demeanor, clear vision, and willingness to help with the daily tasks of running a company along with participating in envisioning thoughtful growth, were invaluable. Sarah was always there with a smile and a helping hand. I cannot imagine a more supportive person at a time when we needed her most. I consider her a life saver. She remains one of my most treasured co-workers ever and a dear personal friend as well. Today, Sarah is our Executive Assistant handles multiple aspects of running our company: making sure our agents are well served, assisting with new agent recruitment, and overseeing the millions of details of opening a new office and helping to run this company, much of it behind the scenes. With 115 agents, a staff of 14, and 6 offices, Sarah has played a huge part in these achievements. Though her job description has expanded, serving our agents is always at the top of her list. She continues to be upbeat, knowledgeable, and an integral part of our success. Thank you, Sarah.” – Teri Toombs, Principal Broker
